Volleyball Recap: Dexter Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Dexter was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Woodland on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bell City Cubs on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 25-11.

Karis Kennedy paced Dexter's offense, picking up seven kills. Kennedy got some help from Brooklyn Goodman and her 13 assists. Mauriona Menley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Dexter's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11-2. As for Bell City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Dexter has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bernie on the 17th. As for Bell City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Advance on the 17th.
