Basketball Recap: Seton Falls Despite Big Games from Kaitlyn Hess and Brooke Goshorn

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Seton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to the Springboro Panthers on the road by a 41-27 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Panthers are ranked 12th).

Despite the defeat, Seton had strong showings from Brooke Goshorn, who posted eight points and six rebounds, and Kaitlyn Hess, who put up seven points.

Seton's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Springboro, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

Seton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springboro, they will take on Upper Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Upper Arlington will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Springboro surely won't give up without a fight.
