Softball Recap: Winnebago Takes a Loss

Winnebago lost against Stillman Valley two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyla Warkentien was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Winnebago's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Stillman Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winnebago will square off against Oregon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stillman Valley, they will challenge Rock Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
