Volleyball Recap: St. Edward's Beats Lincoln Park Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

St. Edward lost to Lincoln Park Academy back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

St. Edward's walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-20.

Makena Rodriguez paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rodriguez got some help from Margaret Fykes and her 22 assists. Fykes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Grace Fykes, racking up two apiece.

The win was the fourth in a row for St. Edward's, bringing their record up to 4-2. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Edward's will welcome Okeechobee at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
