Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Crusaders vs. East Marion Eagles

Sacred Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 46-38 to the East Marion Eagles. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 41-29.

East Marion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caubrei Andrews out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Andrews a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Watts, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for East Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-18.

Sacred Heart has already played their next matchup (against Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
