Soccer Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Gallia Academy Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, South Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Gallia Academy are ranked 121st).

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Gallia Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2-1.

Looking ahead, South Point is taking a road trip to face off against Fairland at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Point will be up against Fairland's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Gallia Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
