Baseball Preview: Owensville Dutchmen vs. Savannah Savages        
        
		
            
 The Owensville Dutchmen will challenge the Savannah Savages at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Even though Owensville couldn't quite topple St. Clair on Thursday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the six-point  loss they took when the two last played. Owensville was the clear victor by  an  11-1 margin over St. Clair. The  win was just what Owensville needed coming off of  a  14-4 defeat in their prior  match.
  Chase Weirich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Weirich has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Weirich was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Landon Kramme was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Landon Ely was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, Savannah gave up the first  runs last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They had just enough and edged Benton out  12-11. 12 seems to be a good number for Savannah as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 Owensville's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Savannah,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 14-2.
