Baseball Recap: Woodburn Takes a Loss

Woodburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 19-5 to West Albany. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Albany this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 on Wednesday.

Mason Pickett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Damien Vasquez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Woodburn's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for West Albany, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Woodburn will take on rival Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, West Albany is set to square off against their familiar foe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
