Grenada had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 2-0 to make it eight. Everything went their way against the Winona Tigers as they made off with a 34-14 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Winona, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Grenada is ranked tenth).

Landon Crawford and Tavarius Eden certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Crawford threw for 186 yards and one TD, while Eden rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Grenada didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 28-0 win against Callaway on the 12th. As for Winona, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-33 loss against Calhoun City on the 12th.
