Basketball Recap: Sidney Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Sidney's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to East Mills on Monday. The Sidney Cowboys secured a 63-59 W over the Riverside Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in January, they had to take a 65-54 defeat.

Sidney pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Coming up, Sidney will head out on the road to take on Bedford on Thursday. Sidney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Bedford likes a good challenge. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
