Baseball Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Decatur nor Enumclaw made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Golden Gators fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 7-6. The Golden Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Decatur has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-4-1 record this season. As for Enumclaw, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.

Decatur didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Kelso on the 17th. Enumclaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
