            Softball Preview: River Forest Ingots vs. Calumet New Tech Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, River Forest will face off against Calumet New Tech. The Ingots will challenge the Warriors at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Considering River Forest has lost three straight at home  and Calumet New Tech 11 straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
Having struggled with eight  losses in a row, River Forest  turned things around against Calumet New Tech  on Monday. They blew past the Warriors 14-2. The Ingots' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.
 Lindee Trezak was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 16 over five innings pitched. Those  16  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Sara Puckett was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Amy Arana was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 River Forest  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .897. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Calumet New Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for River Forest, their  victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-8.
