Fort Calhoun waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Raymond Central Mustangs. Considering the Pioneers have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fort Calhoun got a massive performance out of Addison Benoit, who went 1-for-1 with a home run and four RBI. That home run was Benoit's first of the season. Kaylee Taylor was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fort Calhoun always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. The last time their OBP was this high was back in September of 2023.

Fort Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Raymond Central, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Calhoun will head out to challenge Bishop Neumann on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Fort Calhoun: 2.2, Bishop Neumann: 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Raymond Central, they will square off against Auburn at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
