Baseball Recap: Owen County Comes Up Short

Owen County was the 6-3 winner over Carroll County when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels fell 8-3 to the Panthers on Tuesday.

Brody Hearn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Owen County is 3-1 when Hearn posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

Owen County's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Carroll County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

While Owen County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
