Baseball Game Preview: Argonaut Mustangs vs. Union Mine Diamondbacks

For the second straight game, Argonaut will face off against Union Mine. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Diamondbacks at 3:30 p.m.

Argonaut came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Union Mine, falling 13-6.

For Union Mine's part, Matt Mills was excellent, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Mills a new career-high. Brycen Cramer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Union Mine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Argonaut has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Union Mine, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.
