Football Recap: Jefferson County Falls Despite Big Games from Trevon Ellis and Georondre Pittman + How To Watch

Jefferson County and Wildwood squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Jefferson County had to settle for second. The matchup between the Tigers and the Wildcats didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 28-12. The Tigers gained 196 more yards on the day, but it was the Wildcats that made the best use of them.

Georondre Pittman and Trevon Ellis certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Pittman rushed for 109 yards, while Ellis rushed for 83 yards on only eight carries.

Wildwood found their leader in sophomore Cameren Solis, who picked up 55 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Jefferson County is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for Wildwood, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.

Jefferson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wildwood, they will head out to face off against Fort White at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
