Avon Grove hadn't done well against Downingtown West recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Whippets by a score of 5-2. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Whippets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Avon Grove and bumps their season record up to 9-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games.
