Cook Inlet recap Oct. 9, 2012

Service extended the longest winning streak in Cook Inlet this week by beating Juneau-Douglas, 58-10. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Service took down the Crimson Bears 58-10 last week, the largest margin of any game.

West's dynamic duo of Conor Feckley and Eric Vandervort proved tough for North Pole to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Feckley threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns and Vandervort had 114 yards receiving. Leroy Elliott helped West's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 54 yards.

Taylor Faagau was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 86 yards on nine carries as South beat the Patriots. Kahlil Autry also contributed to the rushing game with 47 yards on the ground.

West's Feckley and Vandervort have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Feckley has thrown for 1859 yards this season, while Vandervort, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 45 catches for 816 yards. The Wolverines' Dante Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 652.

The marquee game in Cook Inlet this week will be the clash between Numi Ilalio's team and Tim Davis' team. The Cougars enters the contest ranked first in the state, while the Eagles ranks fourth.

Entering into this week's contest against Service, Feckley is short just 141 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.

The Cougars led the league in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Juneau-Douglas.
