Perryville not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Greenville Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lydia Schlimpert paced Perryville's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schlimpert got some help from Kaeli Klaus and her 18 assists. Allyson Burns controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Perryville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Greenville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Perryville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Woodland on the 5th. As for Greenville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Iron at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th.
