Basketball Recap: Bray Mollette's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tolsia over St. Joseph Central

Tolsia lost against St. Joseph Central two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tolsia Rebels took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Central Irish. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tolsia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bray Mollette, who went 9 of 19 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Waller, who posted eight points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Tolsia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Tolsia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Joseph Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolsia will welcome Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tolsia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for St. Joseph Central, they will take on Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
