Football Game Preview: Round Lake Panthers vs. Grant Community Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Round Lake hasn't had much luck against Grant Community recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Round Lake has given up an average of 42.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Round Lake's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Lakes on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Grant Community took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wauconda. The loss continues a trend for Grant Community in their meetings with Wauconda: they've now lost nine in a row.

Round Lake will need to focus on slowing down Tyler Zdon, one of several Grant Community players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 74 receiving yards and one TD. Zdon's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards. Max Hembrey was in the mix too, providing Grant Community with two scores.

Round Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Grant Community, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Round Lake was dealt a bruising 35-7 defeat at the hands of Grant Community when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 28-7.
