Soccer Recap: Lewiston Falls Short Against Ranked Lake City

Lewiston faced Lake City in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bengals lost 7-2 to the Timberwolves. Lewiston were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lake City apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Avery Lathen wasn't going to let Lake City walk away unscathed as she scored both of Lewiston's goals, bringing her season total up to 12 goals.

Lewiston's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lake City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Lewiston has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Post Falls on the 11th. Lake City has also already played their next game (against Gonzaga Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
