St. Charles North faced Downers Grove North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The North Stars came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the North Stars sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

St. Charles North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Downers Grove North to exactly 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16.

Haley Burgdorf paced St. Charles North's offense, picking up 17 kills. Burgdorf got some help from Mia McCall and her 26 assists. McCall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Charles North's victory bumped their record up to 32-3. As for Downers Grove North, they moved to 24-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither St. Charles North nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
