Preview: Lewis County Panthers vs. Harpeth Indians
The Lewis County Panthers will be playing at home against the Harpeth Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both of these teams are coming into the game with red-hot offenses.
Last Friday, Lewis County didn't have too much trouble with Mt. Pleasant at home as they won 43-14.
Micah Godfrey was a one-man wrecking crew for Lewis County as he rushed for 306 yards and two touchdowns on only 38 carries. That's the first time this season that Godfrey notched 20 or more carries. Bentley Kelsey was another key contributor, picking up 69 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Harpeth, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Summertown with a 33-25 win on Friday.
Harpeth had a senior duo take command as Jatonio Sims rushed for 71 yards on only eight carries and Hayden Penrod threw for 103 yards and a touchdown while completing 84.6% of his passes.
Their wins bumped Lewis County to 5-1 and Harpeth to 2-4.
