Softball Preview: Bradford Railroaders vs. Coldwater Cavaliers
Bradford is 3-0 against Coldwater since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bradford Railroaders will be playing at home against the Coldwater Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. Bradford is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
Bradford is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Tri-Village on Thursday. They suffered a rough 8-2 defeat at the hands of the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Coldwater waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Flyers an 8-0 shutout.
Madison Wendel made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Wendel has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 12 consecutive pitching appearances. Wendel was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Claire Steinke was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. Avery Knapke was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Bradford's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Coldwater, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
