Soccer Game Preview: North Central vs. West Valley

The North Central Wolfpack will head out to square off against the West Valley Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, North Central turned things around against Rogers on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 5-1 victory. That four goal margin sets a new team best for North Central this season.

Meanwhile, West Valley put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Cheney.

West Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Everything went North Central's way against West Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, as North Central made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Central since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
