Baseball Game Preview: Boling Bulldogs vs. East Bernard Brahmas

For the second straight game, Boling will face off against East Bernard. The Bulldogs will square off against the Brahmas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Boling's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Bernard on Tuesday. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Brahmas since on Tuesday.

Trak Jimenez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

The win (which was East Bernard's fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Boling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
