Basketball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cottage on Tuesday, Howard came back down to earth. The Hawks were dealt a 73-46 defeat at the hands of the William & Reed Academy Warriors on Wednesday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Howard still got an impressive performance from Keegan Roberts, who posted 17 points. Roberts' evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Jackson Leiserson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Howard now has a losing record of 1-2. As for William & Reed Academy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Howard and William & Reed Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Hawks see the court they'll take on Atlanta Area School for the Deaf at 4:00 p.m. on December 2. As for William & Reed Academy, their break will end when they face Notre Dame Academy at 5:45 p.m. on December 3.
