Yorktown was handed a five-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Greenfield-Central Cougars 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Yorktown also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
