Baseball Recap: Secaucus' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Secaucus's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Garfield Boilermakers 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Secaucus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Miicallovich, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Miicallovich a new career-high. Joe Pepe also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Secaucus' victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Garfield, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Secaucus will head out to square off against Harrison at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Blue Tide at the right time seeing as the Blue Tide are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Garfield, they will square off against Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
