After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mercer, Greenville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Reynolds Raiders. Considering the Trojans have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacob Csonka made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Nick Solderich was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brandon Stubert, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
