With a playoff win on the line, Guntersville rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Boaz Pirates with a sharp 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Guntersville, who have now won 14 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The win (which was Guntersville's seventh in a row) raised their record to 25-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those seven matchups. As for Boaz, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11-5.

Looking ahead, Guntersville will challenge Indian Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Guntersville surely won't give up without a fight. Boaz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
