Recap: IMG Academy Blue Ascenders vs. Jesuit Tigers
The IMG Academy Blue Ascenders were the 74-53 winner over the Jesuit Tigers when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. IMG Academy Blue had to suffer through a rough 79-36 loss at the hands of Jesuit. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points IMG Academy Blue has scored all season.
Jesuit's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nate Boakye, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten steals. The game was Boakye's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Morty Hanlon was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
IMG Academy Blue has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Jesuit, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
IMG Academy Blue will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech at 5:30 p.m. on January 5th. Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Jesuit, they will head out on the road to face off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while Jesuit is ranked 56th).
