Volleyball Game Preview: St. Joseph Cadets vs. Amity Regional Spartans

The St. Joseph Cadets will take on the Amity Regional Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Joseph will bounce into Friday's match after beating Westhill, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Cadets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vikings on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Amity Regional beat Brookfield 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

Amity Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-12.

St. Joseph's record is now 2-3. As for Amity Regional, their record now sits at 2-5.

St. Joseph beat Amity Regional 3-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
