Volleyball Recap: Oak Creek Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Oconomowoc

Oak Creek faced Oconomowoc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Raccoons. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Raccoons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Isa Ruether paced Oak Creek's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ruether got some help from Julia Schneider and her 16 assists. Ava Turlais controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oak Creek's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Oconomowoc, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 25-1.

Oak Creek has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Divine Savior Holy Angels on the 27th. As for Oconomowoc, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Slinger on the 27th.
