Recap: Neshaminy Skins vs. Upper Dublin Cardinals
After a string of six wins, the Neshaminy Skins's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 73-46 loss at the hands of Upper Dublin. While losing is never fun, Neshaminy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Upper Dublin is ranked 37th).
Neshaminy's loss came despite strong showings from Logan Gale and Nate Townsend. Gale almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, while Townsend scored 16 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Gale pulled down eight or more rebounds. Max Currie was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Neshaminy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Upper Dublin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
Neshaminy will head out on the road to challenge Conestoga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Neshaminy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Upper Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
