Basketball Game Preview: Cumby Trojans vs. Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy

Having just played yesterday, the Cumby Trojans will get right back to it and host Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cumby is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Monday. They were dealt a 77-48 defeat at the hands of Cooper. The Trojans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cumby's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chett Vaughan, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 27 points and seven rebounds, and Chayton Vaughan, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 15 points. Chett's evening made it 25 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 73-44 loss at the hands of Yantis.

Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cumby, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Everything went Cumby's way against Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as Cumby made off with an 82-61 victory.
