Volleyball Recap: Blackford Takes a Loss

Blackford lost against Peru back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Blackford started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-14, 15-13.

Meah Ward paced Blackford's offense, picking up four kills. Ward got some help from Jordynn Gephart and her ten assists. Kinze Clamme controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Blackford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Peru, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Blackford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Huntington North on the 16th. As for Peru, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against North Miami on the 16th.
