Baseball Recap: Rangeview Comes Up Short

Rangeview extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-15. They came up short against the Denver East Angels, falling 15-0. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Angels when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Denver East, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

For Denver East's part, Titus Dokes and Jacob Wilkerson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Dokes tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Wilkerson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Denver East: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 8-9 otherwise. At the plate, Dokes went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Wilkerson went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Dokes has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Denver East got a massive performance out of Jack Lohmeyer, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Lohmeyer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Finn Wrona, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rangeview will welcome Denver North at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Denver East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against George Washington at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Angels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
