Baseball Recap: Sexton Takes a Loss

Sexton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-0 to the Lakewood Vikings. If the Big Reds were looking for revenge after losing 22-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sexton's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lakewood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Coming up, Sexton will head out to challenge Ionia at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakewood, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 win against South Haven on the 10th.
