Volleyball Recap: Kami Wemhoff Key Part of Team Effort in Thunderbolts Win

There's no place like home for Pius X, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Thunderbolts, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Pius X's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-16.

Pius X got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kami Wemhoff out in front who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Wemhoff has posted over her last 17 contests.

Pius X's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-12. As for Lincoln Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-5.

Pius X has already played their next match (against Marian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they will take on Bishop Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
