After a string of four wins, Beecher's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Beecher was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Beecher's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Beecher will challenge Donovan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, they will face off against Lincoln-Way West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
