Baseball Recap: Toll Gate Titans vs. Central Knights
Toll Gate had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 3-13 to make it six. They fell 5-1 to the Central Knights. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Toll Gate had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from Geoffrey Laliberte and Brady Fales Laliberte struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits, while Fales tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Fales has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Toll Gate saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah LaFauci, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. LaFauci has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-12 otherwise.
