Basketball Recap: Joshua Jimison Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alief Hastings

White's tournament run continued when they took on Alief Hastings on Thursday. The Longhorns came out on top against the Bears by a score of 68-56. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Longhorns' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Bears are ranked 901st).

White got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Jimison out in front who went 7-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 25 points. Thanks to that strong game, Jimison now owns an excellent 41.5% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Williams, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten assists.

White was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

White has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Alief Hastings, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

White wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-48 defeat against Cypress Springs on the 4th. As for Alief Hastings, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-35 loss against Stratford on the 5th.
