Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lyons

Lyons entered their tilt with Oak Lawn on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 10-5. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lucy Lee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Ava Jacklin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Madeline Luciano also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Oak Lawn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Lyons will challenge Downers Grove North at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Lawn, they will face off against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
