Recap: Central Falls vs. Pilgrim

Central Falls put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They made easy work of Pilgrim and carried off a 36-6 victory. That looming 30-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Central Falls yet.

Central Falls' offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 22 first-half points. Meanwhile, Pilgrim couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. The Central Falls defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.

Senior Dutchie Arroyo was the offensive standout of the match for Central Falls, as he picked up 65 yards on the ground and snatched 2 receiving TDs. On the defensive end, senior Jordan Alvarado was a one-man blockade for them with three sacks and 15 tackles. The win bumped Central Falls' record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Pilgrim's record to 2-3.

Next week Central Falls take on Narragansett at Narragansett HS Narragansett (RI) at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Pilgrim, they will face off against Tolman. Pilgrim have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Tolman are surely hoping to exploit.
