Maranatha Christian Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Nemaha Central, but Kennedy Carlson wouldn't allow it. The Thunder came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Monday, sneaking past 2-1 thanks in part to Carlson, who had six digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Nemaha Central who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-27, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Maranatha Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Macy Karlin, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Nemaha Central's victory bumped their record up to 20-18. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their 12-match winning streak and moved their record to 36-5.

As of now, neither Nemaha Central nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
