Volleyball Game Preview: Hillcrest Trojans vs. JW North Huskies

The Hillcrest Trojans will challenge the JW North Huskies at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Hillcrest's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while JW North has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Hillcrest beat Rancho Verde 3-1.

While Hillcrest might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rancho Verde scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times JW North and Vista del Lago had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. JW North took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista del Lago on Tuesday. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Ravens since on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. JW North's loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

Hillcrest was able to grind out a solid win over JW North in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, winning 2-0. Will Hillcrest repeat their success, or does JW North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
