Volleyball Recap: New Prairie Takes a Loss

New Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warsaw Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Makenzie Griffiths paced New Prairie's offense, picking up six kills. Griffiths got some help from Karigan Mamazza and her seven assists. Mamazza was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

New Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Warsaw, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

New Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Tippecanoe Valley on the 30th. As for Warsaw, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Plymouth Lady Crusaders on the 30th.
