Volleyball Recap: Medina Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Medina entered their tilt with Solon on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Comets by a score of 2-0. The Battling Bees have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Comets, too.

Medina easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Kate Schellenberger paced Medina's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schellenberger got some help from Lauren Sherman and her 20 assists. Ava Schellenberger controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Medina's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Solon, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Medina will be playing in front of their home fans against Cloverleaf at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Solon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Westlake on the 13th.
